Dothan City School students are coming together for a good cause as part of Global Youth Service Day.  Yes We Can Dothan and the Alabama Cooperative Extension sponsored Youth Changing the World Day.  Students collected items all week long for orphans in Haiti.  Some students even took several trips to the dollar store to buy toothbrushes, canned goods, and other supplies.  Dothan High students say their peers exceeded their expectations.

"It is really hard to motivate students, but if you can get them all to believe in a cause that's worth fighting for then they're more susectible to join," said Kyle Pearcy an 11th Grader at Dothan High School.  Help Our Children Foundation picked up the items for all the Dothan City Schools on Friday.  They will take the collected items to Haitian orphanages in May.
