Mrs. Violet S. Hatcher of Clayhatchee, passed away of cancer on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, in Gainsville, Ga. She was 83.
Mrs. Hatcher had been living with her daughter in Flowery Branch, Ga., since July.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayhatchee, with the Rev. Robert Beasley officiating. Burial will follow with Providence Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Hatcher was preceded in death by her husband, Steve H. Hatcher, in 1992.
Surviving are her daughter, Dianne Summers, Flowery Branch, Ga.; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Brenda Hatcher, Birmingham; grandchildren, Clay Parrish, Jule and Charlie Kim, Keith and Amy Summers, Jason and Mary Hatcher, Trae and Colton Hawkins, Michael and Lucy Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Hamby, their father, Allen Hamby, Bella Hatcher, Gracie and Bess Hawkins, Michael and Brant Hawkins.
