Mr. Wayne "Baby"Redding of 2465 Antioch Church Road, Ashford, departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Saint Vincent Hospital in Birmingham. He was 56 and of the Baptist faith.
Reposing at Scotts Chapel Hill Mortuary, 103 W. Southport St., Dothan. Family and friends may call from 5-7 p.m. for visitation at the chapel of Kent-Thornton-Meadows in Ashford. Family will receive at 803 Burkett Road in Dothan.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 8, noon, at Oakey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Ashford, with Elder Zibbie Dawsey officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery under the directions of Scotts Chapel Hill Mortuary of Dothan, "Because We Care".
He leaves to cherish his loving and fondest memories wife, "Lady Di"; five brothers, Talmadge Redding, New York, Wyles C. (Linda Faye) Redding, Detroit, Mich., James Henry (Vivian) Redding, Dothan, James Wilson and Hubbie Dickens, both of Webb; four sisters, Vetchus Lynn of North Carolina, Janeria (Isiah) Woodard of Ashford, Eva Fletcher and Arlene Douglas, both of Dothan; and Willie Pittman, an adopted son of Webb. He has about 40 nieces, nephews and maybe about the same of grand- and great-grand-nieces and -nephews, four aunts and a host of relatives and friends.
