Vickie Creech Lee Coleman, a resident of Headland, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2007, in a Dothan hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was 38.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, in the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Headland, with the Rev. C. S. Pope and Minister James Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The body will be in the mortuary parlor from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday for public viewing. Family headquarters will be at the home of her mother, Osie White Rogers, 301 A. B. Cotton Drive, Headland.
Mrs. Coleman was a native of Midland City but formerly lived in Kinsey and Dothan before moving to Headland. She attended Headland High School. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Stephano C. Coleman, Dothan; a daughter, Yolonda Creech, Dothan; a son, Demetris LaRue Jr., Slocomb; her mother and stepfather, Osie White Rogers and Christopher Rogers, Headland; her father, Moses Creech, Midland City; two brothers, Chris Walker, Dothan, Eugene Thomas and wife, Yolonda Thomas, Dothan; two grandchildren, Javi Onia Creech and An Zyia Creech; her mother-in-law, Annie Stewart Coleman, Dothan; a sister-in-law, Tomekia Coleman, Dothan; four aunts, Bernice Jefferson and husband, Jeff Jefferson, Jersey City, N.J., Terria Rhodes and husband, William Rhodes, Headland, Mertiss Bennett, Dothan, Hannah Hammond, Midland City; four uncles, Otis White and wife, Josephine White, Headland, Johnny White and wife, Pat White, Dothan, Norman White and wife, Teressa White, Wetumpka, J. Lee Creech, Midland City; several cousins including two special cousins, Melvin White and Cynthia Hammond; special friends of the family, Rafael Truett, Stephanie Smith and LaToya Lilly.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Norman White, Johnny White, Michael Rhodes, David Hammond, Eugene Thomas, Chris Walker and Demetris LaRue, Sr.
