Mrs. Bobbie Jean Mullis Smith died Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at her residence. She was 69.
A Memorial service for Mrs. Smith will be 2 p.m. today , Nov. 29, 2007, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born Feb. 13, 1938, in Houston County, the daughter of the late William Joseph Mullis and Evie Mae Dunn Mullis. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Along with playing bingo, she loved animals, especially her beloved dog, "Rock"
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Lee Franklin Smith, and two brothers.
Mrs. Smith leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter, Anita Bowden and her husband, Ronald Jay, of Webb; son, Michael Leon McDonald and his wife, Tracy, of Dale County; four grandchildren, Melissa Poole, Roxanne Burdeshaw, Dustin Poche, Hunter Poche; three great-grandchildren, Lacie Poole, Blake Poole and Cameron Burdeshaw.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Jenson and his Nurse Practioner Kim Strickland for all the loving care they gave Mrs. Smith.
Mrs. Smith will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
Ward Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory at Memory Hill Cemetery, (334) 792-4194, is in charge of arrangements.
