John Robert White, a resident of County Road 23 in Abbeville, died Friday morning, Nov. 23, 2007, in Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville. He was 73.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, in Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Hart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sardis Baptist Cemetery Fund, c/o Louise Smith, 204 Lightfoot Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mr. White was born in Barbour County but moved to Henry County with his family as a child. He lived near Abbeville all his life. Mr. White was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
Surviving relatives include numerous cousins in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, including his first cousin and caregiver, Emily Johnston Warnberg and husband, Harry E. Warnberg, of Lynn Haven, Fla.
