Mr. Lister H. Russell, age 73, of Lapine, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, in a Montgomery hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday at the Lapine Baptist Church. The Revs. Billy Austin and Rex Godwin officiating. A close friend, Sydney Brown will speak at the graveside. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Ramer. Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge will direct.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home at 131 S.A. Graham Blvd., Brundidge, and at the church one hour prior to services.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Keahey Russell of Lapine; his children, Michael (Georgia) Russell of Moab, Utah, Mark (Rhonda) Russell of West Jordan, Utah, Marty (Diane) Russell of San Antonio, Texas, Dana Keahey (Mark) Griffin of Ozark, Ric Keahey of Dothan, Al Randy (Kym) Keahey of Andalusia; brother and sister-in-law, John (Twynette) Russell of Lapine; two sisters, Margie Lewis of Montgomery, Crystal McBryde of Montgomery; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Dorothy Helms of Clio.
Mr. Russell was a 1952 graduate of Ramer High School and the owner and operator of Russell Trucking of Lapine.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Russell in 1967 and brothers Edgar, Harold, Ernest and Jesse Jr. Russell.
Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home of Brundidge, (334) 735-2100, is in charge of arrangements.
