Brian Anthony "Bam Bam" Mayo, a resident of State Highway 173, Newville, Capps community, died early Monday evening, Nov. 19, 2007, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Headland. He was 20.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Thomas D. Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in Abbeville Memorial Cemetery-East. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
Brian was born and reared in Abbeville where he was a 2007 graduate of Abbeville High School. He was employed by Asplundh in Dothan. Brian was preceded in death by a grandfather, Martin Trawick, special grandparents, Woodrow and Julia Whitehead, and also a great-grandmother, Nannie Lou Mayo.
Surviving relatives include his parents, Kenny and Louise Trawick Mayo, Capps community; a sister, Christian Money and husband, Josh Money, Abbeville; two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Mayo, Lake Placid, Fla., Kevin Mayo, Abbeville; grandmothers, Merlene Trawick and Marjorie Mayo, both of Abbeville; aunts and uncles, Yvonne and Tim Whitehead, Jerrell Trawick, John Trawick, Chester Trawick, Ronnie and Nancy Keen, Lisa and David Ward; numerous cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be John Christopher Sauls, Matt Sauls, Darren Blackmon, Cody Odom, Cole Cordell, Justin Long and Anthony Sitzler. Serving as a honorary pallbearers will be Steven Engle.
Holman-Abbeville Mortuary, (334) 585-5261, is in charge of arrangements.
