Mrs. Gwendolyn "Ben" Griswold of Enterprise passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 86.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, from the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sam Williams and Charles McGlothren officiating. Burial will follow in the New Brockton City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the Wesley Chapel Family Life Center Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Griswold was born Feb. 10, 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Griswold, and a son, Royce Griswold.
Survivors include one son, Ralph Griswold, and two daughters, Sandra Griffin (Gary) and Tommie Batchelor Roberts (Bill), all of Enterprise; daughter-in-law, Alta Faye Griswold; one sister, Elizabeth (Lit) Hornsby, Enterprise; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
