Capt. Henry A. Stevens (retired U.S. Air Force), a resident of Hartford, passed away late Saturday night, Nov. 17, 2007, at Wiregrass Hospital in Geneva. He was 84.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in the Shepard Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Huvon King and Jack Kale officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Shepard Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday night, Nov. 20, 2007, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Della Stevens, Hartford; a son, Richard Stevens, Hartford; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Les Letcher, San Antonio, Texas; three stepchildren and spouses, Tina and Dennis Mauldin, New Brockton, James and Tabatha Wichowski, Bonifay, Fla., Joseph Wichowski Jr., Fort Campbell, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
