Albert Brooks Smiley of Daleville, passed away, Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at his home after a brief illness. He was 79.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 9, 2007m at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John McCullough officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, c/o Linda Andress, The Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 310900, Enterprise, AL 36331.
Mr. Smiley was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Helen Elizabeth Smiley, and two brothers, Willard and Howard Smiley.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Elaine Smiley, Americus, Ga., Barbara Gail Smiley, Daleville, Janet Lynne Smiley, Daleville; one stepdaughter, Katherine Parr, Vero Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law, Pat Smiley, Mesa, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Sarah and Elizabeth; one nephew; six nieces.
