Charlie Weyman Whitaker Jr., 87, of Dothan and formerly of Graceville, Fla., passed away Oct. 30, 2007, at the VA Nursing Home in Tuskegee.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Chester Padgett officiating and James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing.
Mr. Charlie, a Navy Veteran of World War II, was born in Cordele, Ga., on June 29, 1920, to the late Charlie W. Whitaker Sr. and Pearl Adams Whitaker. He enjoyed farming peanuts and being outdoors. Mr. Charlie loved God and showed it in many ways.
He was preceded in death by two loving wives, Susie and Jenny.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
