Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Willis "Bill" Pitts, died at the age of 74 on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007. After a courageous battle with cancer, Mr. Pitts passed away at his sons home in Spring Hill, Fla., under the care of loving family and Hospice.
Funeral services for Mr. Pitts will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Graceville. Internment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Born Sept. 20, 1933, in Graceville, Fla., Mr. Pitts was a graduate of Graceville High School and George Wallace Technical School, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a retired rural U.S. mail carrier. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Graceville and a faithful member of the choir.
Mr. Pitts is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Ann Register Pitts; his son, Terry Pitts and wife, Graceanne; five grandchildren, Mirranda Love Childers, Meridith Nell Upshaw, Joyce Nichole Pitts, Natalie LouEllen Pitts, and Dawn Marie Reitz; three great-grandchildren, Julien Gavin Link, Aiden Joshua Dunaway, and Kian Arvil Dunaway; and loving nieces and nephews. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.
