Mrs. Betty Jane Boers Perry died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2008 at Flowers Hospital. She was 77.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at 3 p.m. from the Ward Wilson Chapel with Rev. Mark Brackin officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ward-Wilson Funeral Home tonight, Oct. 29, from 5 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Perry was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Peru, Ill., to Alfred and Lucille Justi Boers. She was a member at First Presbyterian Church and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She also supported the Southeast Alabama Dance Company. Mrs. Perry worked and retired after 25 years with GTE Telephone Service.
She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Boers, her husband of 57 years, Warren Perry and a brother, Alfred Boers Jr.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her mother, Lucille Boers; two daughters, Wendy Simpler and her fiance Randy Brackin of Dothan, Holly Richardson and her husband Paul of Dothan; her two sons, Michael Perry and his wife Gretchen of Birmingham, Mark Perry and his wife Marsha of Columbia, SC.; her grandchildren, Dr. Jeremy Simpler, Blair Richardson and Hunter Richardson; two step-grandchildren, Billy and Richard Lees; her great granddaughter Hannah Brooke Simpler; her aunt and uncle, Tony and Katie Justi.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randy Brackin, Paul Richardson, Dr. Jeremy Simpler, Hunter Richardson and Phillip Bevis.
