Justin Matthew Childers of 292 Private Drive, Dothan, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007. He was 17.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct., 24, 2007, at Midland City Baptist Church with the Revs. Aaron Dickinson and Taylor Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd of Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at Midland City Baptist Church Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. At other times the family will be at 292 Private Drive, Dothan. Flowers are being accepted and may be delivered to Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home, 1808 Barrington Road, Midland City, AL.
Justin was born May 9, 1990, in Dothan and he resided here all of his life. Justin was in the 11th grade at Dale County High School and he was a member of the FFA. Justin enjoyed riding his dirt bike, driving his pick-up truck, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elvin and Louise Pritchett.
Survivors include his father, Eddie Childers, Dothan; his mother and stepfather, Karla and Tim Johnson, Dothan; a sister, Amy Elliott and her husband, Kevin, Columbia; grandparents, Laveral Pritchett, Dothan, Charles and Judy Childers, Rock Hill, S.C., Leonard and Jan Johnson, Dothan; aunts and uncles, Gary and Kathleen Kelley, Leesburg, Ga., Bobby and Lynn Leger, Dothan, John and Brenda Brown, Rock Hill, S.C., Sheri West, Rock Hill, S.C., Danny and Karan McDaniel, Dothan; two nephews, Ashton and Parker Scearce; a niece, Madison Riley; cousins, Raymond and Andy Brown, T.J. and Hannah West, Kristie White, Chris Morris, Daniel Massey, Ethan and Carrie Leger, and Matt and Amanda Kelley; a special uncle, Dalton Penn, Midland City.
