breaking news
Carla Anne Kay, a resident of Merritt Island, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007. Carla Ann was born in Rockledge, Fla. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island. She was 33.
Carla Anne Kay blessed our family with her gift of sensitivity, showing us how to care for others. She attained a wonderful ability to show our family how to love one another. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior by praying with her mother, Patricia Kay, at just four years old.
After graduating with a Bachelors degree in psychology from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Fla., Carla worked as a dental assistant to her father, Dr. Sebron Kay, and became a certified dental assistant. Later she worked in Orlando, Fla., at CenterCare as a receptionist at the Altamonte Springs location. She lived so graciously that all who knew her most definitely will remember her to be a living example of our savior, Jesus Christ, who is the most sensitive of all. With caring love, Carla Anne Kay represented our savior as well as any human being could ever do while on earth. We will see her again one day, and may God bless her soul forever and ever. Amen.
She is survived by her father, Dr. Sebron E. Kay, and her mother, Patricia A. Kay, Merritt Island; three sisters, Lynda Cheros and husband, George Cheros, Sanford, Fla., Angela Boyer and husband, Troy Boyer, Jacksonville, Fla., Gloria Kay, Orlando; a brother, Michael Kay, Merritt Island; three nieces, Leanna and Genelle Boyer and Sophia Cheros; a nephew, Douglas Boyer; aunts and uncles, Elaine Cheris, Denver, Colo., Joyce and Frank Britt, Jacksonville, Byron and Marguerite Ingram, Ashford, Lynda Bell, Kathy and Larry Clements, all of Dothan; Dianne Vann, Webb.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, in the Webb Cemetery in Webb with the Rev. Homer Davis Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Holman-Headland Mortuary.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Bluff Springs Baptist Church, 1990 Bluff Springs Road, Ashford, AL 36312.
Holman-Headland Mortuary, (334) 693-3371, is in charge of local arrangements.
