Ms. Ruth S. Helms passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva. She was 87 years old.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at Bottoms Garden Chapel in Hartford with the Rev. Jerry Hughes officiating. Intermnet will follow at the Hartford City Cemetery with Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Helms is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Helms, and two children, Ricky and Cindy Helms.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Michelle (Kevin) Callans of Sarasota, Fla., Rick (Dana) Helms of Sebring, Fla., David Helms of West Palm Beach, Fla.; four great-grandchildren, Mallory and Macey Callans, Sarah Grace and Bryant Helms; one stepson, Bill Hughes; a very special niece, Susan Wood (Wayne and family); niece, Peggy Dillard (Millard and family); niece Carolyn Dean (Lawrence and family); one nephew, Michael (Toni) Spears; and one daughter-in-law, Margaret Bond.
