Angela Ellen Barnes, a resident of Ft. Rucker, died Sunday, October 14, 2007 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Bob Baxter, the Rev. Henry Morris and Army Chaplain Lamont Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 3012 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama, 36305.
Burial with military honors will be held at a later date at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon with Canby Funeral Chapel in Canby, Oregon (503-266-1144) directing.
Angela was born May 26, 1977 in Portland, Oregon and lived the early years of life there. She was a graduate of Canby High School and loved engineering and architecture. She was currently attending Wallace College and would have graduated in May of 2008 with an Associates Degree in applied science in drafting and design technology. In 1997 Angela entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharge in 2005. Angela attended First Presbyterian Church in Dothan.
Survivors include her husband, Clifton Philip Barnes (U.S. Army) of Fort Rucker, AL; two sons, Taylor Barnes and Joshua Barnes, Fort Rucker, AL; her mother and step-father, Peggy and Tom Tucker of Canby, Oregon; her father and step-mother, Ron and Connie King of Vancouver, Washington; her brother, Trevor W. King of Canby, Oregon; grandparents, Jeff and Jeanne King of Vancouver, Washington.
