Mrs. Janie Ruth Milner former resident of Charter House Apartments in Dothan died peacefully at Sarasota Health Care Center in Sarasota, Florida She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 13, 1921 and died September 18, 2007.
Ruth was pre-deceased by her husband Edward Milner, one daughter Glenda Fredrick and her husband Norman; one adopted daughter Nancy Kimball, four brothers, Emmitt, Nathan, Grady, and Herman, as well as two sisters Nora Belle and Fanny Mae.
She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Arata and her husband Frank of Florida, Cheryle Bagwell of Alabama, Judy Palmer and her husband Kenny of Florida, Tenna Marie Dubois and her husband Wayne of Maine, two sisters, Bertha Miller and husband J.C. of Alabama, Christine Young and her husband Kerm of Georgia, three sister-in-laws, Jean, Rachel and Martha, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great as well as great-great grandchildren.
A graveside remembrance service will be held 2 P.M. Friday, October 19, 2007 at Memory Hill Cemetery. We encourage friends along with family to attend to celebrate her life, bring a special memory or funny moment to share.
Our special thanks to our niece Trisha Arata for all the help and sacrifices she made to make Mom more comfortable, well shod and supplied with her greatest habit cookies and crackers, also thanks to the staff at Sarasota Health Care Center.
