Mrs. Gladys Meredith Cannon, 88, of 212 Dothan Road, Abbeville, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Henry County Health and Rehabilitation Center, Abbeville.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at the Chapel of Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely, Ga. with the Rev. Ralph Baker officiating. Burial will be at Dubose Cemetery, Blakely, Ga., with Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, from 7-9 p.m. EDT at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cannon was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Early County, Ga., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Meredith. She was a member of Blakely First Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Edward "Bill" Cannon.
Surviving are her daughter, Eloise Baker, and son-in-law, E.J. of Headland, and a sister, Fannie Mae Seagrave of Abbeville, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Baker, Paul Baker, Chris Baker, Mickey Woodard, Mike Blackstock and Destin Baker.
