Ruby Best, 79, of Graceville (Poplar Springs Community), Fla., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at her residence.
Ms. Ruby was born July 6, 1928, in Graceville, Fla., to the late Charles A. and Florida Watford Armstrong. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Kent Lampp and Chester Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James and Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville, Fla., directing.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or those wishing can make memorials to Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1349 Highway 173, Graceville, FL 32440.
Ms. Ruby is survived by her beloved husband, James Best of Graceville, Fla.; children, Lawrence Peters of Tallahassee, Fla., Diane Sims and husband, Wayne, of Graceville, Fla., Frankie Wilson and wife, Ginger, of Ozark, Debbie Wilson of Graceville, Fla., Carolanne Yates of Panama City, Fla., Karen Stoe and husband, Ben, of Graceville, Fla.; sister, Katherine "Kat" Parrish of Panama City, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
