Franklin Eugene Ducker, a resident of Cowarts, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 69.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at Cowarts Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Roberts and Kermit Soileau officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery with Southern Heritage dire,cting. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight, Wednesday, from 6 until 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Cowarts Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Drawer 10, Cowarts, AL 36321 or the American Cancer Society, 2346 West Main St., Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301.
Mr. Ducker was born Dec. 10, 1937, in Malone, Fla., to William Frank Ducker and Mary Velma Hand Jackson Ducker. He was a resident of Dothan for the past 32 years prior to living in Jacksonville, Fla. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Cowarts Baptist Church.
Mr. Ducker is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Billy Ducker, Howard Ducker and Kenneth Ducker.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy L. Noblin Ducker, Dothan; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Elizabeth Ducker, Dothan, Ronald Eugene Ducker, Eufaula, Scott and Shayla Ducker, Ashford; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James Willis Ducker, John David and Martha Ducker, Jimmy Frank and Ginger Ducker, all of Dothan; four grandchildren.
Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, (334) 702-1712, is in charge of arrangements.
