Mrs. Virginia McClintock Phillips died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at Wesley Manor in Dothan. She was 93.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phillips will be held 3 P.M., today Oct. 8, 2007 at The First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Bob Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Dothan City Cemetery under the direction of Ward-Wilson Funeral Home.
The family will be receiving friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m.at the church today. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Palmer Home for Children, P.O. Box 746, Columbus, Ms. 39703-9983, or to First Presbyterian Church, 3012 West Main Street, Dothan, Al. 36305.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Dothan on April 2, 1914, the daughter of the late Herbert Richmond McClintock and Maude Susan Howell McClintock. She loved her family and was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where she worked with the youth and the womens group. She was a charter member of the Dothan Association of Realtors where she worked from 1955 to 1998 until she retired.. She also was a charter member of the Womens Council of Realtors.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Phillips, daughter, Barbara L. Phillips, one brother, one sister, and a granddaughter, Christina Kaye Watts.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter, Ginny Hornsby and her husband David from Dothan, brother, Richmond McClintock, Sr. from Dothan, three grandchildren, Robyn Watts, Rebecca Miller and her husband William, Tara Holloway, two great-grandchildren, Hillary Watkins, Baylor Miller, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wesley Manor for all their love and care they gave Mrs. Phillips.
