Funeral services for Mrs. Leila Martin Vinson Beaty, age 84, of Clayton, will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at the Clayton United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nathan Elliott will officiate and burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery with Kent Funeral Home of Clayton directing.
Mrs. Beaty died Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Hughston Orthopedic Hospital after an extended illness.
Born Oct. 12, 1922, in Clayton, Mrs. Beaty was the daughter of the late John Council and Alice Floyd Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husbands John Vinson and Robert Foy Beaty. Mrs. Beaty is survived by a large extended family.
Active pallbearers will be Garner Williams, John Pitt Williams, Larry Monk, Bennie Vinson, Bob Beaty and Clay Martin.
The family will accept flowers or suggest donations be made to the Clayton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 208, Clayton, AL 36016.
