Gene Arnold Isaak, of Hartford, who honorably served three tours of duty in Vietnam and retired after serving his country for 20 years in the United States Army, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at Flowers Hospital. He was 66 years old.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shepard Funeral Home with Pastor Rev. Jack Kale officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow in Hartford City Cemetery with Shepard Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
SFC(retired) Isaak served in Aviation Logistics Management and retired from civil service at Fort Rucker in 1999. He loved being an American and serving his beloved country. His hobbies were woodworking, camping and model cars.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Isaak, of Hartford; three brothers A.J. Isaak, of Arapaho, Okla., Clarence Isaak, of Mangum, Okla., and Roger Dale Isaak, of Custer City, Okla.; five sisters, Ruby Richardson, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Deloris Waddle, of Clinton, Okla., Eunice Chambers, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carolyn Zingenfuss, of Canute, Okla., Barbara Isaak, of Butler, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
