Mrs. Jacqueline Cox Baxter of Pinckard, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at Flowers Hospital. She was 80.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 30, 2007 at 2 P.M. from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Wiregrass Hospice, P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Al. 36302. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6 to 8 P.M. At other times the family will be at 413 Drake Drive in Mallard Landing Subdivision in Dothan.
Mrs. Baxter was born June 3, 1927 in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Benjamin and Amy Jo Gibson Taylor. She was a member at Pinckard United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Franklin A. Baxter.
Mrs. Baxter is survived by her daughters, Mary C. Rhoades and her husband Charles of Valdosta, Ga., and Debbie McKnight and her husband Mickey of Pinckard, her sons; Phil Cox and his wife Evelyn of Dothan and William Cox of Valdosta, Ga., a sister, Linda Kistner and her husband Jerry of Cincinnati, Oh., her eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Fields, Mike Fields, Phillip Cox, Nick McKnight, Michael Steinmetz and Kevin Webb.
