Danny Thomas Carter, a resident of the Henry County Health & Rehabilitation Facility in Abbeville, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, 2007, in a Dothan hospital after a brief illness. He was 53.
Graveside services will be Friday in Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Dianne Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Fred Tye, 6541 State Highway 95 North, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Danny Carter was born and reared in the Screamer community of Henry County, son of the late Charles Thomas Carter and Rose Burton Cotton Carter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clint Carter and Merlyn Carter and a sister-in-law, Janice Fleming Carter.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Johnny Frank Carter and his wife Mary Lou Carter of Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Maggie Hancock Carter of Abbeville; several nieces and nephews.
