Lorell Cherry of Headland died Friday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2007, at his home. He was 82. Funeral services will be today in Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel at 10:30 a.m. with the Revs. Jerome Harbert, Dave Collins and Steve Sanders officiating as well as Mr. Sam White. Graveside services, with military rites, will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery, near Pansey. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, AL 36302. Holman-Headland Mortuary, (334) 693-3371, is in charge of arrangements.
