Mrs. Marrianna Comacho Lawson of Highway 2 in Westville, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007. She was 50.
Funeral services will be Friday in Hurricane Creek Baptist Church in Holmes County, Fla., at noon with the Revs. Billy Locke and Jeff Cain officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery at the family residence in Darlington, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Geneva today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Marrianna was born May 3, 1957, in Miami. She loved her family, especially her granddaughter and enjoyed spending time with her. On Saturday, Aug. 25, she celebrated 28 years of marriage with her husband Johnny. She had a compassion for the elderly, as well as young people. During her short life she opened her heart, along with her home, to many children. Dusty and Rialey Edwards were two of those special children. Marrianna worked in the medical field as an x-ray technician for several years. She was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Johnny Lawson; one daughter, Falena Deshaunleigh Lawson; one son, Shaun Edward Lawson; one granddaughter, FaShawna Lillyanna Lawson, all of Darlington; mother and father, Elvin and Laverne Comacho of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Christy and Don Allen of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Diane and Donnie Elmore of Opp; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Pam Comacho of Dothan; father and mother-in-law, Holland and Edna Lawson of Darlington; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Active pallbearers will be John White, Farrell Brock, John Edwards, Shaun Edwards, Harold Alford and Tim Woodall. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lon Weeks, Joe Weeks and Henry Alford.
