Mrs. Ashley Rumsey Throckmorton of Daleville, AL passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the family residence. She was 35.
Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday, August 28 at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise with Reverend John Thomas officiating. A graveside service will be at 4 pm from the Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL with Usurey Funeral Home (256-362-2344) in Talladega directing. The family will receive friends at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Tuesday from 6 until 8 pm.
Ashley was born January 30, 1972 in Birmingham, AL to Robert L. and Susan Myerscough Rumsey. After graduating from Sylacauga High School, she earned a nursing degree from the University of Old Miss. She later earned a degree in teaching. She was presently serving as the 7th, 8th and 9th grades math and history teacher at Enterprise Preparatory Academy, where she was also serving as the cheerleader coach. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Nathan Throckmorton, Daleville; 1 son, David Cody Throckmorton and 1 daughter, Hannah Elizabeth Throckmorton, both of Daleville; her parents, Robert L and Susan Rumsey, Sylacauga; 3 brothers, Ryan Rumsey, Sylacauga, Reagan Rumsey, Montgomery, AL, Robert Rumsey, Sylacauga; grandmother, Cleonal Myerscough, Tuscaloosa, AL; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
