Mr. Phillip L. Weeks of Coffee Springs passed away Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, in Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. He was 60.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, in the St. John Catholic Church in Enterprise with Father Jim Dane officiating. Burial will follow in Reese Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Samson Tuesday, Aug. 28, from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requested that donations be made to the Coffee Springs Christian School, P.O. Box 96, Coffee Springs, AL 36318.
Mr. Weeks was born Sept. 12, 1946, in Samson to the late Taft & Eva Wood Weeks. He served our country in the U.S. Navy and was retired as a civil service employee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Weeks; his son, John C. Weeks; his brother, Will Ed Weeks; and his mother-in-law, Mary Seger.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Amanda Marie and Richard Nelson of Coffee Springs; one granddaughter, Kacie Marie Nelson of Coffee Springs; two brothers, Wayne (Helen) Weeks and Farren (Dianne) Weeks; one sister, Martha Sue (Randell) Weeks.
