Mrs. Linda Entrekin Pierce of Ozark died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Dale Medical Center. She was 59.
A memorial service for Mrs. Pierce will be Thursday in Logan Road Baptist Church at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the family residence, 3924 Campground Road, this evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Pierce was born Nov. 20, 1947, in Savannah, Ga., to the late Mary Colleen Brinson and Wiley G. Entrekin. She worked as a cosmetologist while attending Savannah State University in Savannah, where she graduated with a degree in business. Mrs. Pierce moved to Atlanta and then to Ozark, where she worked in accounting with Home Accents in Dothan, and later worked with the Van Heusen Corporation in Ozark until it closed. Afterwards, she got her CDL and worked with the Ozark City school system as the bus driver of The Butterfly Bus #0701. She also worked as a groomer with Begging To Be Groomed. She was a member of Logan Road Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Bonnie Roskam, preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Archie Wayne Malone and David Wayne Malone of Ozark; two sisters, Angea Barnes and Rita Hart of Ozark; one brother, Wiley Entrekin of Ellenwood, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
