Sallie Jo Treadaway was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Southside and passed away Aug. 11, 2007, in Merced, Calif. She was 92.
Graveside services for Mrs. Treadaway will be Saturday in Memory Hill Cemetery at 1 p.m. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 10 to 12 p.m. on Saturday.
Sallie spent the last year in Merced. Her permanent home was in Dothan, where she resided for over 40 years. Sallie was an active member of the Eastern Star. She was a member and past president of the Dothan Garden Club. Sallie and her husband Lloyd owned and managed a nursery and florist in Dothan for 30 years. Sallie loved to garden and travel and especially enjoyed fishing and teaching her children and grandchildren how to fish.
Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, Ike and Lula Lister, her husband of 72 years, Lloyd Jackson Treadaway, one brother and six sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Partin of Merced, Barbara Jean Graham and husband Gilbert of New Waverley, Texas; one sister, Irby Jean Pardue of Prattville; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
