Mr. Michael Dewey Jemison died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. He was 66.
Funeral services for Mr. Jemison will be Thursday in Ward-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to service time.
Mr. Jemison was born in Eight Mile on May 24, 1941, the son of the late Malcolm Jemison and Ivey Whitehead Jemison. He worked for Farley Nuclear Plant for 25 years. He loved the outdoors including hunting and fishing.
He leaves behind daughter, Michelle Jemison of Tampa, Fla.; sons, Michael Jemison and his wife Shelley of Punta Gorda, Fla., Myron V. Jemison and his wife Dawn of Land O Lakes, Fla.; sisters, Nellie Marie Waltman and her husband Leo of Saraland, Sarah Martin and her husband Waylon of Saraland, Fla.; brothers, William Jemison and his wife Linda of Creola, Robert Jemison and his wife Glinda of Saraland, Jerry Jemison and his wife Doris of Chunchula, Christopher Jemison of Saraland, Bayou Jemison of Pell City; grandchildren, Shawn Jemison, Myron Jemison, Samantha Jemison, Chase Jemison, Jacob Jemison, Chandler Jemison, Lauren Jemison; great-grandson, Taylor Jemison, several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Mr. Jemisons close friends, Roger Norris, Heuy Miller and his many other friends.
