Mildon Purvis of New Brockton passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at his home. He was 74.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Searcy Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with the Revs. Hollis Bradley, Roy Turner and Donald Lolley officiating. Burial will follow in Goodman Assembly of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Purvis was preceded in death by his wife Wava Purvis and a son, Darryl Purvis.
Survivors include his wife Elouise Purvis of New Brockton; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Paul Adkison of Enterprise; two sons, Dwaine and Rennee Purvis of Enterprise, Donnie and Sheila Purvis of New Brockton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eunice Inman of Enterprise, Alice and Terry Gross of Birmingham; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Sue Purvis of Enterprise; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two stepsons, Wilbur J. McLendon of Enterprise, Kenneth McLendon of New Brockton.
Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, (334) 347-2517, is in charge of arrangements.
