Christine Nichols of Enterprise passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in Enterprise. She was 98.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4015 Hwy. 27, Enterprise, AL 36330 or to the Enterprise Public Library, 101 E. Grubbs, Enterprise, AL 36330. The body of Mrs. Nichols will be placed in the church one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her husband Frank Nichols and a son, Ben Nichols.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and James "Doc" Walding of Enterprise; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ned and Flo Nichols of Enterprise, Howard and Melba Nichols of Birmingham; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren.
Searcy Funeral Home in Enterprise, (334) 347-2517, is in charge of arrangements.
