Mr. Perry Mack Rogers of Dothan died Wednesday August 8, 2007 at Henry County Health and Rehab in Abbeville, AL.. He was 96.
Funeral services will be 10am Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Ward-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Earl Tew and Rev. John Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ward Wilson Funeral Home.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 9-10am.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the LaFayette Street United Methodist Church Building Fund or Wiregrass Hospice P.O. Drawer 2127 Dothan, AL. 36302.
Mr. Rogers was born July 18, 1911 in Headland, Alabama the son of Claude
> and Lena Rogers. He was a longtime resident of Dothan, AL. and a member of the La Fayette Street United Methodist Church of Dothan. Beside God, and his family, he was a life long baseball fan. He was known by all his friends as PM. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Joe Max Rogers, brother, Brooks Rogers and grandchildren Phillip Anders, Polly Tyree, and GlenThrash.
Surviving is his wife Ruby Rogers of Dothan Daughters: Sandra J. and Husband Billy Howell of Abbeville, AL. Vicki A. and husband Frank Anders of Copperas Cove, TX. Sister: Rose Bagwell of Headland, AL. Grandchildren: Debbie Exum and Fiance Eddie Maddox, Michele Taylor and Husband Richard, Howell Thrash and wife Dot, Johnny Thrash and wife Pam, Teresa Henly and Linda Thrash. Daughter in law: Pauline Rogers of Pearl, MS. Patsy Richardson, Dr. Earl Tew niece and nephew of Ruby Rogers Numerous great grandchildren, and great- great grandchildren also survive.
