Mrs. Virginia Williams of Bonifay, Fla., passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at her residence following an extended illness. She was 72.
Funeral services will be Friday in Noma Baptist Church at 10 a.m. with the Revs. Jonathan Shepard and Gene Cone officiating. Burial will follow in Noma Cemetery. Family will received friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Williams was born in Noma, Fla., on Oct. 18, 1934, to the late Tom and Jincie Leavins Dozier. She was retired from Sony Corporation and a member of Noma Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Vickers and husband William "Bill" S. Williams.
She is survived by two sons, Milton Howard Vickers and girlfriend Jean Dewey of Graceville, Fla., Ricky Vickers of Noma; two daughters, Vicki Mosser and husband Randy of Bonifay, Tami Kirkland and husband James of Graceville; three step-sons, Sanford E. "Sandy" Williams of Ireland, Laird Williams and wife Karla of Cottondale, Fla., Richard Williams of Tallahassee, Fla.; five step-daughters, Karen Brand of Panama City, Fla., Terisa "Terri" Knox and husband Don of Auburndale, Della Hattery and husband Fred of Crawfordville, Sallie Hughes and husband Louis of Georgia, Melinda Cox and husband Bill of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Loyle Dozier and wife Betty Ann of Lake Placid, Fla., David D. "Dick" Dozier and wife Evelyn of Noma; three sisters, Nita Williams of Graceville, Vileta Skipper of Pensacola, Fla., Alvera "Peanut" Jones of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
