Mrs. Doris Bernell Sullivan of Geneva passed away Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at the family residence. She was 83.
Funeral services will be today in Mims Hill Church at 10 a.m. with the Revs. Tracy Hobbs and Elaine Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Mims Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Holmes County, Fla., to the late Edwin Cole and Nellie Clark Mims.
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents; five sisters, Janell Shiver, Dora Hicks, Mildred Paschell, Kate Ganey and Lillian Ganey; one brother, Jim Mims.
Survivors include her husband Clifton Sullivan of Geneva; three daughters, Linda Gail Vaughan (Terry R.) of Geneva, Patricia Chesser (Gary Lee) of Hartford, Sheila Villeta Davis (Robert) of Oakland, Md.; one son, Charles C. Sullivan (Martha Jo) of Geneva; seven sisters, Bivian McDuffie of Panama City, Fla., Yvone Farris of Hattisburg, Miss., Monette Owens of Chattanooga, Tenn., Johnnie Merle Erlandson of Geneva, Wavine Brackin of Geneva, Dorothy Jackson of Hartford and Joyclyn Collins of Dothan; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one greet-great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva, (334) 684-2600, is in charge of arrangements.
