Mrs. Mildred Mae Jenks of Level Plains, AL passed away Sunday, August 5, 2007 in Enterprise. She was 89.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, August 8 from the Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Tindol and Mark Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Cemetery in Ozark, AL with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, August 7 from 6 until 8 pm.
Mrs. Jenks was born May 19, 1918 in Wyoming County, West Virginia to the late Thomas Jefferson Worley and Hattie Emma Scott Worley. She was the loving and dedicated wife of the late Rev. Charles Jenks during his ministry and military career. She attended Macedonia Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters: Edward Worley, Florence Worley, Athealeen Palmer, Grace Mullins, Mayme McKinney, Lawrence Worley and Alvah Worley.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Brenda Kay Borowski (Doug), Phoenix, AZ, Martha M. Jenks and Tammy L. Miller, both of Level Plains; 1 brother, Cleophas Worley; 4 grandchildren: Nikki Green, Aimee Gonzalez, Rhiana Ireland, Andrew Borowski; 5 great-grandchildren: Jacob Gonzalez, Jason Gonzalez, Aaron Green, Ellington Lewis, Crimson Ireland.
