Mr. Luther F. "Red" Weed, a resident of Ariton, died late Saturday night, July 28, 2007, at his residence following an extended illness. He was 85.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007, with full military honors from the chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Weed officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time.
