Teresa Cestaro Richard died peacefully at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan on Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the age of 87.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m Tuesday, July 24, at Saint Columba Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick Gallagher officiating. The family will receive friends at Byrd Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday with a Wake service beginning at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Columba Catholic Church, 2700 W. Main St., Dothan, AL 36301.
Terry was born May 17, 1920, in Brooklyn.
Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her husband, Septime Severous Richard Jr. The youngest of ten children, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margeret Santoro of Staten Island, N.Y., and Mrs. Josephine Garafola, North Richland Hills, Texas; four daughters, Pamela Ann Patterson and her husband Bruce of Austin, Penelope Ann Verhoeven and her husband Stan of Atlanta, Priscilla Ann Isler and her husband Glen of Dothan, and Paula Ann Lack and her husband Michael of Encinitas, Calif.; ten grandchildren, Stacy Sass, Erika Szombathy, Sandra Lewis, Sheila Patterson, John Verhoeven, Tristan Verhoeven, Hunter Smith, Trip Smith, August Lack and Parker Lack; and two great-grandchildren, Barton and Korbin Springer.
