Mrs. Robbie Kate "Enfinger" Saunders died July 9, 2007 at her home. She was 89.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Malvern Baptist Church with the Reverends Hosea Parker, John Wayne Hicks and Coley Hollaway officiating. Burial will follow at Malvern Baptist Church Cemetery. Ward Wilson Funeral Home will be directing.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm tonight at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. All other times the family will be at her and her daughter Mary Claytons home at 111 Aspen Circle in Dothan.
Mrs. Saunders was born in Geneva County where she lived until 1998 when she went to live with her daughter & son-in-law. She was a member of Malvern Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents Jim & Daisy Enfinger, her husband Charlie D. Saunders, her son Charles E. Saunders, a son-in-law Freddie C. Clayton , a grandson Royce M. Saunders Jr., a great grandson Jessie Saunders, a sister Annell Collins and her brothers, Dudley and Ray Enfinger.
Mrs. Saunders is survived by her daughter Mary Saunders Clayton; her sons Royce M. Saunders and his wife Sybil, Jimmy H. Saunders and his wife Becky, all of Dothan, a daughter-in-law, Jean Saunders of Dothan, three granddaughters; Kathy Woodham and her husband Joel of Newville, Sandy Shinn and her husband Ed of Slocomb, Tammy Zellars and her husband Alan of Crestview, Fla., six grandsons; Allen Spivey and his wife Debbie of Dothan, Tony Saunders and his wife Tonya of Birmingham, Terry Saunders and his wife Jane of Slocomb, James Saunders and his wife Tera of Ft. Myers, Fla., Jimmy H. Saunders Jr. and his wife Kelly of Dothan, and Steve Davis of Dothan, ten great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Ruth Morgan of Columbus, Ga., Billie Sue Johnston of Malvern and Mary Lou Phillips of Fadette, one brother, Frank Enfinger and his wife Marilyn of Dothan, three sister-in-laws, Lula Belle Enfinger, Mildred Enfinger and Mildred Saunders.
Serving as acting pallbearers will be her nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Covenant Hospice.
