Mr. Burving Wayne "Droopy" Spicer of Samson, Ala., passed away Saturday, July 7, 2007. He was 53.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Jerry Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, July 9, from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
Droopy was born Oct. 24, 1953, in Covington County, Ala. He was employed with Spann Timber Company for several years as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Kathryn Sumner Spicer of Samson, Ala.; three sons, Mark Spicer and wife Misty of Kinston, Ala., Josh Spicer of Chancellor, Ala., and Chris Spicer of Geneva; four grandchildren, Lillie, Dylan, Ashton and Jaden Spicer; mother, Willie Pearl Spicer of Hartford, Ala.
