Mrs. Beatrice Garner Scovill of Ozark died Wednesday, July 4, 2007. She was 86.
Funeral services will be Saturday in Ozark Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Aman officiating. Interment will follow in Holmes Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ozark Baptist Church Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11a.m.
Mrs. Scovill was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Barbour county to the late John Abe Garner and Bertha Ocie Trawick Garner. She worked with civil service at Fort Rucker until her retirement. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward R. Scovill and Harry L. Ferguson, and her brother, Ralph Garner.
Survivors include her son, John Ferguson of Atlanta; one sister, Nell Ivey of Clio; two brothers, Trawick Garner and wife Betty of Ozark and Abe Garner Jr. of Ariton.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Wiregrass Hospice, P. O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Alabama 36302, or to Ozark Baptist Church, 282 South Union Avenue, Ozark, AL 36360.
