Mr. Herbert Hermann Renz of Ozark passed away Sunday morning, June 24, 2007, at Dale Medical Center. He was 88.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Greg Doss and Dr. Charles Gann officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in Ozark with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Renz was born May 28, 1919 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a veteran serving in World War II. He moved to Ozark in 1958 working as a Flight Instructor at Fort Rucker until his retirement. He was of the Assembly of God faith and attended Ozark Assembly of God Church. Preceding him in death were his parents: Charlie and Lillie Renz; and one brother, Arnold Renz.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Brannon Renz; two sons: Donald Renz and wife, Nonia, of Arlington, TX and Arthur Renz and wife, Susan, of Houston, TX; one step-daughter, Pat Ivey, of Clio, AL; four grandchildren: David Renz and wife, Candy; Amy Stephenson and husband, Brady; Chris Renz, and Tim Renz; three step-grandchildren: Ronnie Ivey and wife, Leslie; Chad Ivey, and Beverly Clark; four great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Raymond Renz and wife, Evelyn.
Pallbearers will be David Renz, Josh Ivey, Justin Ivey, Christopher Ivey, Jerry Brannon, Steve Brannon, and Steve (Bo) Brannon.
