Mr. Alva LaGrange "Buck" Clark, Jr. of Blakely died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 93.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from the chapel of Ward-Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Don R. Clark officiating. Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 6-8pm. At other times the family will gather at Mr. Clarks home in Blakely 1212 Clark Rd. Blakely Ga. 39823.
Mr. Clark was born April 23, 1914 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Alva LaGrange Clark, Sr. and Mary Ada Clark. He was a graduate of Slocomb High School and farmed around the Tabernacle community in his early years. He later worked with Stephenson-Smith I.G.A, for many years until his retirement. He was a member of Tabernacle Methodist Church and had lived in Dothan until 1992.
He was preceded in death by a son Ronald K. Clark, Sr., daughter in law: Lorraine Clark and by a great grandson: Patrick Clay Clark, Jr.
Surviving family include his wife Flossie K. Clark of Blakely, Ga.Son and daughter in law: Rev. Donald R. "Don" Clark and Betty of Dothan Grandchildren: Dennis Clark of Enterprise, Neil Clark and wife Kim of Dothan, Sharon Stinson and husband Stan of Missouri, Patrick Clark of Dothan, Ronald Clark, Jr. and wife Teryan of Enterprise, and Donna Chilton and husband Alfie of Dothan, and seventeen Great Grandchildren also survive.
