Updated: January 7, 2009
The Dothan Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Youth Leadrship Program, and yesterday`s events were dedicated to learning about the court system and public safety. We caught up with the group at the Westgate Fire Station for lunch, and a question and answer session with Houston County District Attorney Doug Valeska. The program consists of 11th graders from different schools throughout the city and county. Membership in the program is a competitive process and applications can be obtained through your high school counselor. The students met with members of the Dothan Police Department, and learned life saving techniques from Dothan firefighters.
