MIDLAND CITY STILL INVESTIGATING KIDNAPPING OF TEEN

Midland City police say the department is looking at new leads, as the investigation regarding the missing Blount County teenage is still ongoing. Chief Dexter Hammond of the Midland City Police Department, along with other law enforcement agencies, has charged Michael John Humphrey of Midland City with three counts of second-degree rape. Though these charges have been sanctioned, other charges are still a possibility. Every piece of evidence is being scrutinized throughly, noted Hammond, and as always, WDHN will keep you up to date with any new developing charges with this case.
