By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
Did you know the number one killer of young children is almost always preventable. Traffic accidents are the number one killer of infants in the United States. According to the Center of Disease Control, last year 2,542 children ages 15 and younger died in car crashes. Statistics show nearly half of the deaths occured because the children were not properly restrained. Every state requires that infants and children ride in child safety seats, but the law does not dictate the safest way to transport your child. To find a child seat inspector near you, log on to www.seatcheck.org, or call your local police station for assistance.
